Thomas serves as the President of Secure Summit

His journey in the insurance industry began in 1996, when he designed custom rating and marketing systems for Thomas Sheridan at National Health Services, the largest medical malpractice insurance agency and brokerage firm in Texas. His role involved developing custom algorithms to identify advantageous markets in Texas, enabling targeted marketing efforts. In 2005, Thomas joined Mid-Continent General Agency, where he focused on creating policy administration and rating systems. During his tenure, he wrote software for prominent clients like Mark Ledger at CLS and Sean Mintz at CMLP. After leaving in 2013, Thomas founded his own software company, specializing in insurance software solutions for various clients who benefit from his extensive experience in the industry. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
Jay Alston serves as the Vice-President of Secure Summit Underwriting. He began his insurance career in 1996 as an assistant underwriter at US Risk in Dallas, TX, focusing on EPLI and Professional Liability. In 2000, Jay was promoted to lead the professional liability division. In 2006, he joined Mid-Continent General Agency to establish their Professional Liability division, which achieved three million dollars in premium income within three years. Jay’s entire career has centered around underwriting for the London market. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona and is a licensed general agent and surplus lines agent in Texas and Illinois. Jay is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Additionally, he has had the privilege of playing three times at the Lloyd’s rugby sevens competition.
